March 2009.... A very long journey but it was worth it, I travelled up to Scotland with Jo Cairns and Carol Chippendale to the Scottish Boxer Club Championship Show, where the very experienced Mr Pedro Bispo (Portugal) was judging the bitches, Bibby won a super Novice class, was awarded Best Head in The Class and was pulled out to the last four for the CC. Hence I came home on cloud nine with a lot of rib pulling too !!
April 2009.....Another good day at the British Boxer Club Open Show & Sweepstakes, where Herbie was awarded Overall Best Puppy in Sweepstakes ( Mrs Jenny Livvy )and then to top it all off he was awarded Best Puppy Dog and Reserve Best Puppy In Show (Mrs Christina Chapman) and the car was full of goodies galore !!
August 2009 .. was a fond farewell to Bibby, she went to live with Clifford and Peter Squires of the well known Belire Kennel at their Beautiful home in sunny Spain, where I am sure she will have a wonderful life and be spoilt rotten, and hopefully produce some lovely children for them.
October 2009.... I was very priveleged to be invited to judge my first breed show The Northern Boxer Club, I had a super day, a lovely quality entry and would like to thank Chrissy and Viki and all the commitee for that .
Nov 2009... Daisy's litter arrived , a litter of nine I might add, so a busy time along with my friend Vikki making sure all went well, and just hoping that there would be a special one amongst them.
January 2010 .... Bronte's first Show at the South Western Boxer Club, she was placed third in a lovely of class of babies, very pleased. Later this month she went to her first Ch. Show where she showed her little socks off and was placed 5th in MPB, and 5th again at the Anglian Boxer Club Ch show.
February 2010 ....Off we toddled to a bitterly cold Scottish Boxer Club, with Jo and Carol as travelling buddies again, this must be my lucky show as Bronte won a super MPB class under Betty McDonald, qualifying her for Crufts. So we came home on a high again.
March 2010.... A busy month with the Boscars firstly where we always seem to drink too much but have a great time and always look forward to next year, followed by Crufts , this year Cliff came over from Spain and stayed with us for a couple of days , suffice to say he enjoyed catching up with everyone .
May 2010.....At the South Wales Boxer Club, Bronte was 1st in the sweepstakes under Liz Davies and 2nd in the open show under Bobby Strawthorn .The next weekend we were at Birmingham Ch Show where Fearn Pynegar was awarding CC's for the first time and thrilled when Bronte was placed 3rd in PB .Last show of the month we went off to Bath Ch. Show, it is such a shame the boxers have no CC's here as it is one of the best shows, we had all rounder Sue Searle judging, Daisy was placed second ( her very first show ) in minor puppy bitch, followed by Bronte who was also second in puppy bitch, a great day with a lovely atmosphere.
June 2010, starting with the South Western Boxer Club Open Show and Sweepstakes we had husband and wife team Mr.Mrs Hubor from Holland judging, in the sweepstakes Daisy was placed 3rd and Bronte was first in her age group, and went on to win Best Bitch in Sweepstakes. The open show then began and Daisy was placed 2nd in minor puppy bitch and Bronte won maiden bitch.Again another lovely show. The following day off down to Newbury showground for Southern Counties CH Show, where international all rounder Mr Ole J Staunskjaer was judging the boxers Daisy was placed 3rd in minor puppy bitch in a beautiful class, hence her first CH Show and Crufts Qualified, very pleased, Bronte was placed 3rd in maiden bitch. A great weekend all round. The following weekend off to three counties where we had breed specialist Paul Russell judging Daisy was placed 4th in minor puppy bitch and Bronte also 4th in puppy bitch.
July 2010, The first weekend off to another local show in Windsor, where we had breed specialist Tim Hutchings in centre stage, the weather was glorious, although a little too hot for the dogs, Daisy was placed 4th in a super quality minor puppy class followed by Bronte who was also placed 4th in puppy bitch. A fantastic day especially as my very own Porth Pearl Essence's sire Abythorn All Wrapped Up For Carmondene gained his crowning CC to a rapturous applause. This was followed by another trip to Malvern where we had Lesley Wearing in the hot seat, another huge minor puppy bitch class where Daisy made it down to the final few, Bronte now into junior bitch and she was placed 3rd. Following week a long haul trip up to Leeds where we had Mrs Shirley Butters judging , a stranger on our shores now since her and Arthur moved to Southern Ireland, Daisy 5th in minor puppy bitch and Bronte 5th in junior bitch.
